One of the original founders of the Napa Valley wine appellation, the Heitz Family has been committed to the development of outstanding vintages since the mid-1960's. This premium vintner started with a very modest sales room that served as a base for Joe Heitz's world-renowned wine making talents. In fall of 2000 ground was broken for a new facility that was envisioned by Kathleen Heitz as a continuation of her father's legacy yet, brought a new focus to the established business. The new building and grounds are reminiscent of many stone buildings and farmsteads in the Napa Valley, yet with comfortable details that enhance the tasting experience for the long time and new visitor alike.
