Downtown Tucson Redevopement Plan By instigating this ambitious project downtown Tucson has been able to transform it's Downtown into a vital pedestrian corridor connecting to the existing Civic Plaza. The core components were widening existing sidewalks and construction of the Ronstadt Transit Center. Design work included new brick paving, street tree planting, 19th century light fixture restoration, street furniture and new traffic signals. Estimated cost: $5 million.
